The Château de Maucoil estate, one of the wine jewels of Vaucluse, is a historic property in Châteauneuf-du-Pape where vines have been cultivated since the 17thth century. The estate has 26 hectares of AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape vines and 17 hectares of Côtes du Rhône Village in the municipalities of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Orange and Sorgues.
The Arnaud family acquired the estate in 1995 and founded the civil agricultural company Château Maucoil. The estate was then taken over by the Bonnet (Bénédicte and Charles Bonnet) and Lavau (Benoît and Frédéric Lavau) families, who joined forces and together formed Maison Lavau-Maucoil.
The owners of the Château de Maucoil estate have now chosen to entrust the destiny of this prestigious vineyard to Jean-Philippe Girard (Burgundian entrepreneur and owner of Domaine Chantal Lescure in Nuit Saint-Georges) and Bernard Duseigneur (winemaker).
This transaction, intermediated by Edmond de Rothschild Corporate Finance, will allow Maison Lavau to refocus on its activities of buying and winemaking grapes from the Mediterranean region in the Rhône Valley.
Through this operation, FIDUCIAL LEGAL BY LAMY reinforces its position as a leading player in the transfer of exceptional wine estates and Monopolies.
